Aftermarket Cruise Control
Aftermarket Cruise Control
Hello folks!
Amazed to find a Fit oriented forum. I have a Brazilian version so called 2008 Honda Fit LXL with CVT transmission since brand new. I love my 15 year young car, but always missed a cruise control. I gave up asking Honda Service people how to adapt an aftermarket unit. Last year I decided to buy a DIY kit, only to discover it was designed for electronic gas pedal, and my unit has an old faithful steel cable on it.
Do anyone know about how to install one? I found a unit designed for Hyundai I30 that I think could be used, but I am afraid of messing with the airbag equipped steering wheel. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
P.S.: I see you classify Fits in three generations, I guess my car would be comparable to a first generation Honda Jazz, but am not sure. Any clue?

It is vehicle identification number, also known as chassis number. I suppose you can find it from front left edge of the dashboard, readable from outside through the windshield, and also ftom the car registration documents.
