I bought a 2012 Honda fit and its so filthy, there's a fabric on the inside of the door amd I can't tell what it's made of or how to clean it. Anyone know what is made of? Thanks
The simple way is to vacuum, agitate a little with a cloth, then wipe it down with a wet towel.
The crazy way is taking that to the extreme. Brush it, vacuum, blow. Spray it with water or a non staining upholstery cleaner. Make it decently saturated, then pull the water out with a wet/dry vac. I think you'll be pleased with the improvements, but I'm not sure every type of staining can be truly removed from it. The worst stains I've got in my cars are from chocolate. And I can't even blame my kids. I don't munch on chocolates in the car, but sometimes little pieces are in a granola bar or something and it falls in a place you don't notice until it's too late.
If you wanted to take it a step even further, you could mask it off and dye it again. I can't imagine going to that trouble myself but I am lazy,
