Fit fitment...

I have an important question which needs an answer by today! Ok AEM called me today (how they got my number i dont know) and was hoping to get my Fit into their shop in corona to test fit some suspension parts or strut bars that will be released soon i presume. Well they offered me a free intake if i let them use my car but here's the dilemna... 1) I already have an AEM intake so they said they could possibly give me a header. 2) They want me car for over a WEEK! (this is what is turning me off to the whole idea, but i will be reimbursed for rental car fees) 3) I'm dont know what they will be messing with and possibly something could be damaged. SO... free headers sound nice but a week an a half seems like way too long for a pair of $200 dollar headers. Possibly if they threw more stuff in I might be willing to do it. But i need to let the guy know by today. I need feedback... thanx!

I'd do it.

But first make a contract that covers any damages that might occur during that week. I can't see them wrecking anything but in the off chance i'd want to have my ass covered if anything did.

yeah thats what i was worried about. yeah i'm going to get a free header or maybe more but i'm going to ruin what could possibly be an important warranty, the suspension. But I'm still wondering how they got my number I'll call him back and let him know that I will not be able to do it but hopefully I could participate in their next R&D project. I think dacalac had AEM test fit their cold air on his car, maybe he could shed some light on the process.

the car is still new....no more than what 8 months old or so if you got it back in april.....

im sure they wont break anything since nothings gonna be rusted on tight. as long as you have stock bits back on there if something does wrong theres no reason why your warranty shouldnt be valid. say they test springs and maybe a camber kit.....your front driver strut goes out.....be sure you got all 4 stock springs and struts and head on back to the dealer....no issues shoudl arise at all.

and like someone else already said get something in writing thatll cover you and your car if they damage something. simple like if you damage the car you will be liable and pay for repairs have them sign it and there ya go

hope things work out.

Sounds fishy. One week?

Hmmm, just like "Overhaulin". The insider gave out your phone number. How is a business supposed to have your number?

Watch out Chip Foose might be on the prowl to get your FIT.

haha i wish my car could be overhauled. actually i think i know a girl that had her car Overhauled on that show. But n e wayz... i'm probably going to pass up on this because i just need my car They did ask if my car was manual tranny (which it is) so i guess auto trannys are possibly outta luck on what AEM is coming out with next.
