What in your opinion is the most active and helpful forum for Fit owners who both want to repair/restore and modify their Fit's?
I like this place but the activity seems on the lower end... I'm usually limited by funds, but enjoy seeing others projects progress to stick with long term projects and see them through.

Are there any other forums? This is the only one I've found. But like a lot of forums, it's heyday was probably 10+ years ago. Other forms of social media have taken away the bulk of the traffic, for better or for worse, usually for the worse.
A lot of forums have gone this way as @PK86 said. Topic specific forums like this just aren't as active as they used to be back when they were the only resource. Reddit has taken a lot of traffic, and can be a good source of information or when you need to ask questions about something that isn't too technical.
But thankfully, forums like this still hold decades of history and experience that's invaluable. Reddit will never replace that.

Agreed on that, how and why "face book" groups took over in a sense of replacing forums for topics like vehicles, other hobbies or even science is beyond me. The ability to converse and locate the information within seems much more difficult. It to me is one of those face palm things.
Facebook took over forums like this one because everyone already had it and knew how it works. You didn't have to learn a new way to post comments or pictures. It wasn't going to wholesale change from underneath you (as forums do when they move from, say, phpBB to XenForo). You get a nominal name and location for each poster (unlike here and other forums). Path of least resistance. And when it's okay for people to just post the same questions without searching (or if search on the site is terrible) then the advantages of forum software are quite diminished.
I don't know of any. Actually, considering that the last Fit was sold here almost 20 years ago, I'm surprised the forum is as active as it is.
Lots of good Honda forums for newer models still in production.

Yeah, the last new Fit model in North America was 5 years ago although newer generations are sold in Japan and elsewhere. The Forum has notably declined with a lot of familiar old names gone as they sold (or wrote off) their cars and moved on to something else. That will probably continue to happen going forward unless Honda changes course and offers newer Fits here to re-invigorate us, but not likely in this era of big SUVs and trucks. .

Maybe with the EPA getting their foot stomped on in court in the recent history they will ease up on some if the ridiculous emissions equipment and standards. You want to have an Evap system and charcoal canister on the fuel tank, cool, no problem, you want to use fuel injections (port) and a reasonable CAT, cool, no problem. Going beyond that you start quickly seeing diminishing returns and escalating cost along with other negatives for the consumer, so to me THAT is my personal opinion on the matter of where the government should be on it... obviously pissing into the wind might have more of an effect, but there it is. (this is all to say .gov has to much on an influence on vehicle construction and design IMO in the U.S.) Let the market decide so long as things are reasonable, and they have been reasonable since the late 80's if you ask me.
I'd love to see the 4th gen that could be, around 2550lb, same size as the 2nd gen, but with a 1.8L or 2.0L NA engine and a manual option for a Sport model.

Government i.e. legislation influence on vehicle construction has been highly increasing for last three decades in all western countries and there is no end to that visible. In the name of safety and environment the industry has been forced to design cars with many features that are not what users would want.
