Reset tire pressure light

I have a 2016 Fit. The tire pressure light came on and so I brought up all 5 tires to the right pressure, and the warning light is still on. The manual tells me that I need to press and hold the TPMS button and drive about 30 miles to recalibrate the system and turn off the warning light. And according to my manual, this button is on the steering wheel at about the 8 o'clock position. Well, there are 3 buttons there ... but none of them appears to be the TPMS button. So where else might I look for it?

Thanks.

TPMS Re-Set.

My 2015 EX does this every now and then even after I check the tire pressure on all my tires.

My TPMS reset is located on the left side just above the hood latch release.

Hold the TPMS button for about 30 seconds.

The TPMS dash light will flash and turn off.

If the TPMS dash warning light goes back on,
Repeat the above steps until the TPMS light goes off for good.

I don't have a third-gen Fit so this is just speculation, but in many vehicles the TPMS light also comes on when there is a fault in the system, which could occur when one of the TPMS batteries failed. For a 2016 car, a dead TPMS battery would not be out of the question.

THANK YOU. I was able to find the button at last, and now the warning light is off.

TMPS reset

I recently patched a left front tire on my 2013 Fit that had somehow acquired a nail, and became acquainted with the TMPS warning immediately thereafter. Never did find the TMPS button to reset it, nor did driving for awhile at 50mph (one more online tip) solve the problem. But eventually it went out of its own mysterious accord. What, me worry?

I don't think I will start a new thread as long as we are on TPMS. The Honda Fit does not have a TPMS in each tire. The system uses the vehicle’s ABS wheel-speed sensors to calculate air pressure based on wheel-rotation characteristics.
  • When the system detects that a tire’s pressure has dropped significantly below the recommended pressure, it alerts the driver by illuminating the TPMS indicator within the gauge cluster.
  • The instrument panel displays a low pressure icon that shows tire’s cross section with an exclamation point to alert the driver that one or more of the vehicle’s tires is significantly low.
I know in my car, the system gives a false alarm after new tires are installed, and also when the tires are rotated. The amber light comes on after drving a few mile. I reset the warning, but it comes on after driving several miles. I cannot reset it without it coming back on until about 100 driven miles. Strange.
Instead of directly measuring the pressure in each tire, the TPMS on this vehicle monitors and compares the rolling radius and rotational characteristics of each wheel and tire while you are driving to determine if one or more tires are significantly under-inflated.Instead of directly measuring the pressure in each tire, the TPMS on this vehicle monitors and compares the rolling radius and rotational characteristics of each wheel and tire while you are driving to determine if one or more tires are significantly under-inflated.. This may be true for the third-generation (don't know, never driven one), but is incorrect for earlier Fits.
