i just found somthing out about the aveo, it 0-60 time is 11 seconds and thats the top of the line model too. and yes this is old but when i saw it i laughed because they talk themselfs up then their like woah guys maybe we should change this and that so then we stand a better chance. they are like unsure about their cars after talking all kinds of shit.

 

Yeah their 1.6L engine produces I think 103HP...weak...

 

Well, ya know, internet forums are like a bunch of guys sitting around in a cafeteria talking crap. Most everybody has some idea of what they're talking about, but there are some guys who will talk even though they don't have a clue.

Everybody wants to believe their own car is the one to have. I personally am no different; I believe the Fit is the best in its class. However, I researched the hell out of it before buying one. It IS the best in its class, according to Car and Driver, Consumer Reports, Edmunds, and some other objective reviewers. And damn it's fun! I do sometimes wish it was faster off the line, but I am glad to be driving a fun, cool car that gets 34 mpg week in and week out. More than a fair trade, for me.

 

SO is the comp actually going to happen or what??? someone should contact the aveo forum guys..i mean seriously we have to settle all the crap talk

I would love to see this happen but I guess they chickened out.

But yes, I love my Fit and I love my average of 38-42 MPG (nothing but highway driving setting cruise conrol at 65). =-)

You are 100% correct. It is the best car in the class. I'd say it goes:

1. Honda Fit
2. Nissan Versa
3. Toyota Yaris
4. Chevrolet Aveo

 

there's a riced out aveo on my block... it's freakin hilarious... i giggled when i was walking by once and he was talking about the new 2' tall spoiler he installed on it... he came up to me on the street once and i just smoked him... it wasn't even funny...

next time i passed him working on it, i glanced inside and saw that it was an automatic.... HAHAHA!!!

i asked him why no clutch, he said it was too hard to drive...

That is funny, I would never even think about buying the Aveo to soup up.... hmmm, then again I would never ever buy one! It gets slammed on nearly all of the B-Class comparo reviews I have ever seen or read.

speaking of aveo's, my buddy at one time asked me when i first got the car, Is that a Chevy Aveo. I nearly knocked the crap out of him for saying something like this.

 

I have to respect their love for their car though. I will never buy one. I don't like them at all. But I think it's cool that they love their Aveo and have a community for it.

I must say.... this modified one looks hot
