It is interesting they even have an active website in North America, I have never ever seen an souped up Aveo in real life, never mind one that actually goes to the track.

Man, in this Canadian Comparo where they let 5 real people of different demographics try out the availiable B-class cars, the Aveo got really slammed by everybody.... not surprisingly the Fit kicked ass!

Not bashing the Fit(I love mine), but it is possible that the Aveo is just poorly tuned from the factory and with judicious modifications it might handle and drive well.

Maybe, but then again that is true for anything with installed aftermarket parts. Going back the to the fundamental question (expressed through a humorous analogy).... Why would you spend time trying to paying to train a monkey to play basketball if you could hire Michael Jordan for almost the same price? Ok, maybe a monkey playing basketball would be pretty cool, but you sure wouldn't win any games

It was a bad choice to sell the yaris in the US as a 3 door hatch or sedan. I think the 5 door is the superior one.

edit: also odd is why the yaris is so xpensive in canada. In the US, the crappy quality of the yaris is only justified by its low price. Why is the featureless yaris only a little bit less than the fit?

Would have liked to see the Versa as the others weren't real competition

Why was the titel 'we've been served". doesnt' that mean we lost? The fit won

Also, I was surprised the fit's mileage was second only yaris. I thought it would be lower. i would have thought the accent was gonna be high; didn't expect it to be so low.

Dang this comparo is just like the car and driver one, where the fit won easily.

that thread was hilarious! but what can you expect when you have a forum full of people who refer to power to weight ratios as 'mumbo jumbo' ?

that motor in the aveo is decent, but if it can take over 180 hp to the crank, i have no issues supercharging my fit.

Er.... that and it is an Aveo

I have yet ever to see one of them souped up in real life, it is like an urban myth such a car could even exist as anything other than stock
