AT Fuel Economy POLL

Like the title, select the lifelong average MPG. If the car is new please refrain from submitting a vote till you've gotten atleast 3-5 tanks worth of data. One bad tank could mess up the numbers alot. Thanks guys

I have to say, I'm glad this poll was made. It shows most people with auto are not getting the bad mileages (~26) I thought they would. My EX 120hp civic got 27 (i live in SF which is full of hills). But then, the sampling for this poll isn't big enough yet. I hpoe more people vote.

Unfortunately I did vote already.
Since the average of my CVT-Jazz is on the bottom of the list (39-41 MPG), I consider it is messing up the results.
If it is possible, a Moderator may delete my vote.
Thanks.

rekcah 08-01-2007 08:19 AM

I wish we got a cvt option. I love it on my civic hybrid. Is your jazz a 1.3l also?

According to the specification it is 1339 cm³, don’t ask me why they name it 1.4l?

At Mpg

My Fit is in the 33-35 mpg range. And I voted.

Hopefully, the Fit gets better mpg over time.

Civic was better!

I'm on my fourth tank of gas and averaging 24.7 mpg. Not good. My Civic was getting around 31.

deezfit 08-06-2007 09:26 AM

ya im not getting the best of mileages from my tank of gas either, and here i thought i was gonna get around 35ish.

Gettin' Better!

Okay FitFreaks, here's the deal. I posted above that I was gettin' around 24 MPG. I was filling up every week. So I decided to take the advice of others and wait until my tank was down almost to empty before checking. I do mostly in-town driving and my last fill-up (just over 8 gallons) gave me a much better 31.22 MPG.

eldaino 10-17-2007 12:39 PM

i usually average around 34, but long highway stints have easily gotten me 39 mpg. Not to shabby when you can fill up with 25 bucks or less.:)

TOOL 10-17-2007 12:57 PM

36-38 for me!!!

92dxhatch 11-19-2007 02:21 PM

my fit sport is doin awesome at around 36-38. and that was around 40 tanks or so, hope that helps.

the fit still does really great at 85mph...from Norcal to LA and Back with an average mph of 85-90, i got 35-36 mpg!
my friend caravaned with his 06' civic, only got 28 doin 85mph.

Fit Milage Disappointing

I live in the Oakland, CA hills and the MPG on my 2007 automatic Fit Sport, after 12,000 miles has averaged just below 25. The best milage has been around 37mpg on a trip to Tahoe, but around town it has been as low as 22mpg. I attibute the relatively poor fuel economy to to the hills, the stop and go nature of in-town driving and a load that generally includes one or more passengers.

pip_rocks 11-21-2007 07:27 PM

i generally get 32-33, so i was right in between :) i went 33-35 though because i have gotten 42 mpg on a few tanks in a row when i was only doing highway driving. haven't been under 30 since my second fillup.

kennef 11-21-2007 09:18 PM

22, 21, and 24 mpg on the first three tanks. those tanks featured a hard break-in method of driving which was, as much as reasonably possible, either wide open throttle or zero pressure to the gas pedal.

32 and 36 mpg for the last couple of fill ups. 36 mpg was for reasonable driving, i.e. cruise control, easy acceleration, no unnecessary application of throttle.

really love this car. and MPG is only one of its high points.

BBGorson 11-26-2007 04:05 PM

Bad on Local

around 20mpg around the city and about 37mpg on highway.

Packy 03-11-2008 05:57 PM

Doing an average of 29.5, and we have 20k miles on the Fit. It's roughly 70% city, 30% highway driving.

On road trips we regularly get 32 to 40mpg. Depends on conditions :)

redhorse25 03-11-2008 06:21 PM

already voted and i got my fit like a year and 3 mos. average 33 MPG all highway driving
