I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to. Where is the gas tank located in the Fit? Someone told me it is located underneath
the front seats, this doesn't seem real safe. Does anyone know if that is true or not?

yes it is underneath the front seats. I dont see why it wouldnt be safe? i think its less safe to have it in the rear. plus it adds more rigidity and balance to the car.

 

Yes it is under the front seat area and it's perfectly safe. First, locating it centrally makes it less vulnerable to damage in an impact. Most importantly Honda has a little engineering experience, and hundreds of thousands of Fits/Jazzes are on the road worldwide with no fuel tank related issues.
