Good deal?

This is my first post as I've been lurking the forums for a couple of weeks. I've learned a lot of invaluable information and feel I'm ready to purchase my Fit. I have my heart set on a Taffeta White Fit Sport AT5. I originally wanted a manual but the Fit will be my daily driver in Los Angeles traffic.

Knowing the Fit is in hot demand I had low expectations on haggling. I decided to save some time and drop phone calls to internet sales managers. I decided to call the furtherest dealership that was reasonable for me to pick up the car first.

This particular internet sales manager was really pleasant to deal with and explained the current limited supply of Fits on the lot. She also explained that she had 4-5 Fits coming in within 7-10 days. By starting off the conversation discussing the limited supply of Fits on the lot, I was fully expecting the quoted price being MSRP + an outrageous markup. The price? $17137.38 OTD. I had to do a double take. Browsing the forums it seems most paid MSRP for the Fit. This quote was the lowest price I have found and on my first call! I had to confirm that the price was indeed for an AT5 Sport model. She confirmed the the model, the only hicup was the she only had red, silver, and black

I really like the Tafetta White but I think I'm going to go with the Milano Red. What do you guys think? Think she's pulling a fast one on me? She needs $500 to hold the car.

make sure there is no accessories on the fit. Dealer will quote you an awesome price, but when you get there, low and behold theres $1500 worth of accessories on it.

BTW i have the white you want instock.

I'll keep that in mind. I put a deposit on the car today just in case. They told me the deposit was refundable and I could use it toward the car if I wanted the car.

Chris, based on your opinion, if this price is indeed the OTD price would it be too good to be true?

Red is the worst color for fading from sun exposure. I'd buy the white one from Chris if I were in your position.

Sorry for the delay, I just got off work.

I got a call from the dealership. Looks like they goofed, the price quoted was for a base fit. I even had them e-mail me a quote with the vin number to double check. I'm bummed, I thought I was getting a great deal. Looks like I'll so some more shopping around

Oh and btw Chris I left you a message
