Lovin' it!
Just picked up my new black Fit Sport AT this morning, so I'm one happy guy.
I made the decision to buy it last weekend. Saw one I liked on Friday, and of course by the time I made up my mind and saw the guy on Monday it was gone. I lurked on this board all week and should thank all of you for your great posts and info. I got to see so many pictures and technical info that by the time I picked it up I felt like I could take the damn thing apart and put it together again! Should have seen the guy's face as he tried to walk me through the features tour.
"Ok, so this is..."
"The Aux input jack for my iPod?"
"Right, right. Now these things here..."
"Are the paddle shifters?"
"Um, yeah. Gas cap's on the driver's side. Enjoy!"
It's certainly a lot peppier than I would have expected from a 4-cyl, but I only drove around a little before coming home from the dealer.
Pics to follow. I'm looking forward to many happy years with my new baby.
BTW, can anybody tell me what the usual break-in period for this engine is? Any do's and dont's tips?

Congrats on your purchase! Engine break-in information can be found in this thread: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...questions.html
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
Do's -
Change to Amsoil fully-synthetic oil
Change the oil as needed (12 months/25,000 miles)
Dont's -
Get curb rash on the wheels
Spend more on mods than your car cost (A good life tip...)
Welcome to the Fit Family! You've got one of the best looking Fits! The Black Nighthawk is one sharp ride. Enjoy and just keep your speed and braking nice and easy for the first 600 miles. I just got my Sport MR Fit in May and already have 800 miles on it - it is just riding better as it goes along. Don't put any gasoline under 87 oct. I made the mistake of putting
supreme in on the first fill up and little MR did not like it at all. Went back to regular unleaded the next time and it purred like a kitten! Keep it clean as you can - watch out for curbs and speed bumps plus low spots in the road and those cement parking blocks. LOL Be prepared for people to look at you trying to figure out what you are driving. You'll have people stopping you to check out your ride. I go to Wal-Mart and twice I've come out to find people parked beside my car and just looking it over. Other Honda owners will look at you and scratch their head. My vanity plate has : Fit 2 Go - and we mean it! Have fun and keep safe.

Thanks all! It's been 13 hours since I picked her up, and the love just grows. One problem I hadn't foreseen: I live in NYC and park on the street, since garages in my neighborhood go for 400-500 bucks a month. Finding a spot is like winning a minor victory in battle. With my old car, I would try to move it as infrequently as possible, but today I caught myself several times trying to come up with excuses to drive it!
That reminds me of going out at 10:00 PM to drive it during the night so I could see what all the lights looked like inside and out. LOL! I have to also park on the street. Make sure you purchase wheel locks if you haven't already. Some Fit family members in NYC have had their wheels stolen off their Fits.

Actually, I don't really see much NHBP around by, may be a lot we just don't know where they are!!!
