1. Do not attach the front plate onto the body kit
2. Do not put the car dealership logo on the back of the car
3. If you wash it and it has swirls, I was not going to be happy

My dealership was great and conformed to my wishes. I live in a state where we do not have front plates, so it was optional for me. Unfortunately for those of you who live in states where they are required, it is the only way that it can be done.

Did the exact same thing per the suggestions on this website. What did I get? Exactly what I asked for! W00T!

You could always try bringing it in and asking them to fix it. I think that unless you asked them to do otherwise, they won't though...

scuffs on front bumper from license plate

I am in OH, and front plates are required here. They attached the plate as stated in some other peoples posts, only from underneath the front spoiler (I have the sport model). After about 4 months, I was waxing my baby, and noticed that there is a long line, along the top of the license plate holder, where the paint had been entirely scratched off. The dealer drilled 2 more holes and fixed the plate more firmly to the front bumper. I dont mind the holes because they are required here, and it will keep the paint from scratching off more. Also, we told the dealer when we put the deposit, DO NOT put the dealer logo on our car anywhere, on the bumper, no license plate covers, etc. I explained that we would be more than happy to advertise for them , for a nominal fee lol, needless to say, they were happy to comply with our requests.

I aksed them to do this as well, and they didn't. They were happy to over-charge me for the car, though. They offered remove the decal at a later date for free, of course, but they're 90 minutes away in a town I never drive to for any reason. Looks like I'm going to have to attack ther free advertising myself with a heat gun.

Wow that is horrible. I am in California where it also required but the only drilled the lower holes not the center one. I have already relocated the plate to the lower left side of the bumper where it looks allot better. Lately the Fine in some parts of Cali is $100 for no front plate.

yup my honda only drilled the bottom portion part that was under the bumper. The salesperson i went through was a guy my whole family practically bought from so he was moer than reassuring that no harm would be done to my fit. Yet when they probably go it off the truck they made a little nick on the top of my door, unpleased i went to him and he will take care of it for me.

Same thing happened to me, but I have a happy ending

I specifically requested to my salesman for them not to drill for front tags (NC doesn't require them). Of course, when it's finally delivered and I go to pick it up, they had drilled. I didn't bitch then, I was just happy to finally get it.

I did, however, mention it to the salesman. He said that the service department just didn't get the memo (kinda like "oh well"). Well, anyway, a week later I get one of those "Thank-You for purchasing your vehicle at..." emails from the dealership manager. I replied that I was very happy with the car, but that before delivery I had asked them not to drill for tags.

The next day, I get another email from him stating that the problem WILL be taken care of. I later got a call from my salesman and the service manager stating how sorry they were and that it will be fixed. They kept mentioning how they wanted me to give them a `5` when I get the Honda Quality Survey call.

Later that week I drove to the dealership, they gave me a loaner and sent my car to the bodyshop. It was perfectly fixed, you can't even tell they had drilled.

Thankfully my front plate mount was sitting in it's plastic bag in the back of the car and there were no dealer stickers on the car...this dealer just sticks on a rear plate mount with their name on it, which was immediately replaced with a custom plate frame. Most of the dealers here in AZ won't fool with the front mount since a plate isn't required there.
