Anybody knows, how many Jazz/Fit already are sold worldwide?

AFAIK, USDM had around 30,000 produced for it's first year (MY 2007), but thats all i know, and they may have made more or less.

If I remember correctly the number is around 400k sold worldwide per year, and 40-42k for the US the first year.

I haven't seen the actual numbers, but the dealer told me that their allocation was limited to 15% of orders, not 10%. Still.....

We seem to have gotten a bunch in the twin towns- I am within walking distance to 2 other Sports - I peeked in both and they are both MT's.

Another cool thing - my dad was in the market for a car, drove mine and decided to buy one, also a MT. (He could at least have picked a different color ). So much for the fit demographic as a youthful car. Now my dad, who retired during Clintons first term, is tooling around town in a MR MT sport!

But the wait was a very long one - about 6 months for each of us.....

Production update

Not sure how many are MT, but the dealer in Chicago told me yesterday that 50,000 were produced for the U.S. market. Or about 30-35 per dealer. He also said that typically they produce a batch of AT in japan, and then retool for MT. Right now they are just finishing an AT run, so more MTs should be on the way.

In Toronto area, the largest Canadian city, about 5 mil people including suburbs, since Aug. 1 when I bought mine I've seen no more than 20, and out of these just up to 5 Sport models (no idea if they were AT or MT as they were rolling in traffic)... the AT Sport is pretty expensive, not many folks have the cash for such thing... also, unless you are a speed freak like myself, no need for the paddle shifter steering wheel (AT Sport only)...
