Being fairly new to the forum, I have experienced the frustration of having seen a posting (For example: "How to Change Your Oil") w/detailed pictures/intructions, and then being unable to locate it again . Trying the "search" sometimes brings up everything but the post that I 'm looking for. Is there someway to provide some quickie instructions to help us "newbies" navigate w/ ease through the forum w/o incurring the wrath of "oldtimers" by asking questions that have already been answered or posting in the wrong area? BTW I apologize if this is in the wrong area. Thanx to all of you for your assistance & support!

 

The short answer is... no. In your example you probably mean the thread that's stickied near the top of the maintenance forum, but it often isn't that easy. The site search ignores 3-letter words and acronyms, so when you have a search like that, it's often easier to use google using "site:fitfreak.net".
