Traveling to the Rockies......

Do you guys think my little Fit's gonna make it through the mountain roads? We're heading to the Rocky mountain national park during the labor day weekend....

How about a reply from a Coloradan?

No problem man, my break-in ride was a 350 mile trip into the mountains...had an absolute blast. Now I wasn't super loaded down with luggage or people, but I was out accelerating most of the people on the uphills and passing quite a bit.

I think it's all about momentum. If you can carry enough momentum up those roads and through each corner, then you'll be fine.

I actually just finished traveling through the Canadian Rockies roughly a week and a half ago with my Honda Fit Sport. The car was extremely underpowered (to be expected), but was surprisingly enjoyable, especially through Roger's Pass.

No Problem

The FIT LOVES the mountains. I live near Bolder. My latest trip in my manual FIT was a loop through southern Wyoming with a return through RMNP. 45 MPG! Have Fun.

Just expect lots of high revving. I doubt you'll have any issues. The weather should be fine too.
