How long does does it usually take for the title to be processed and shipped? It's been almost a month and I'm worried it might've been lost in the mail.

 

I got mine in around 3 months. It felt like a long time. It was certainly the longest I've waited for plates. I'm in California.

Check the paperwork the dealer gave you when you bought your Fit. Make sure the address is correct, especially the paperwork that was sent to the DMV.

 

Just pulled the title out of my file cabinet, the envelope was stamped on 07/13/07, the Fit was purchased on 06/26/07. That was impressively quick. My '07 Tacoma was purchased in April, title arrived about 3 weeks also.

If you already have received the registration and license plates, then the title is on its way.

 

I received the registration and plates almost a week after the vehicle was purchased. It's been about two weeks after the reg/plates. The reason why I'm worried is because I'm going out of country in a few weeks. I want to make sure there is no problems and I want to keep it in a safe place before I leave.

 

I received my title about 3 weeks after I purchased the car so you shouldn't be too concerned if it's been about one month for you. But, it wouldn't hurt to give the DMV a call and see if they can help.

 

I got mine about a a little over a month after purchase..

 

I received my plates within two weeks of purchasing my Fit and received the title within three weeks.

 

I was confused, for some reason I was thinking registration. The title? My bank has my title. I won't get it for 3 years.

 

Yea, the title Three months is still a long time to get your registration/plates. Usually the temp paper plate the dealer puts on the vehicle is only good for a month.
