Had to post this! Our local Saturday Gazette-Mail had an article from Assoc.Press titled: Small cars make big gains in US. They interveiwed a lady in Detroit who bought a Honda Fit - talked about her commute to work, small garage and tight budget. I've been getting calls all morning from friends and family who saw the article. I whipped up an e-mail to one of the writers for the Mail and suggested a follow-up story to really let people know what the Fit is all about. I explained how they are made in Japan and boated over to the US. How hard they are to find but how they are worth the wait and time to get one. I sent a few pictures of my MR Sport Fit in hopes that would generate more interest. Also told them about this Forum and how international it is. I am keeping my fingers crossed they will contact me or the local Honda guys to do an article in the paper with more details.

OMG - so great to hear from you. I realized I made that mistake about your location after I had posted and signed off. It is so funny because my garage is a small one too and one reason for the Fit was that it would "Fit" easily into my garage. I took our local paper up to the dealership to show my salesman. He just thought it was great! I am trying to get our local paper to do an article in more detail about the Fit but you did us all a great thing by putting the Fit in the news. Just too bad they did not show a picture. I actually had people driving by me and the passengers hanging out the window to look at the car. Guess alot of people read the article LOL. So glad to hear you are a Fit Freak too! Bet your phones been ringing all day long! Thanks for putting the Fit in the national news you rocked it!

Actually there's quite a few papers that ran it with photos. It's easy to find on line also. Overall I'm pretty happy with this car and I love having 4 doors with two young pups who go to work with me everyday. I've had people say they are going to send me free books, etc. all this for having a Fit. And some guy from Bakersfiield CA called asking questions about my car this morning. My boyfriend answered and said I was his wife. Now that was a little funny and cute.

WOW! See it pays to be in the mix! Maybe your local dealership will chip in with a free oil change! They should! I will search out the web for the photo article. That is so cute that your boyfriend is pretending to be your husband! Never can be too careful.
