Is it just me? Or is this the most fragile car you have ever owned? I have owned several cars new and old over my 48 years of driving experience, and have never had so many trips to the body shop as when I bought my Fit Sport. It seems that any contact with the front (BUMPER???) just tears everything up. I dread what would happen if I actually got in an accident.

 

its not bad. I hit a piece of tire on the freeway and nothing happened.

 

No man i dont think its bad, you just have to be aware that you are driving a car with a body kit on it and the front hangs low...it is a rock chip magnet though and that drives me crazy...

 

Dont forget its also plastic. Since you are older, you need to remember plastic doesn't take as much punishment as those old metal bumpers.

As said above its just a matter of getting used to a car with a lower body kit, as well as being aware of your surroundings. I havent had any issues myself, but then not much road debris in my area.

 

I ran over a pallet that flew out of a flat bed of a truck in front of me while I was on the freeway and no damage.

 

I have noticed some weird ripples on my roof...shallow depressions about 4-6 inches in diameter that can only be seen when you look at them just right. They don't appear to be 'dents' and nothing has ever ben set or dropped on that area. Almost looks like pressure caused........ anyone else noticed anything similar?

Otherwise, lots of small chips on front bumper, chips along the bumper/fender interfaces, a small collection of scrapes and one door ding...... not impressed with the quality of the paint......22K miles already, but still I hoped for better......
