If it's any consolation for us, we get the shaft on most new vehicle prices when compared to the US, due to the strength of the Canadian dollar right now and the fact that prices haven't really been adjusted (on the flip side, it helped us when the dollar was weak).

So in essence, even though we are paying more, we'd also be paying more for competing vehicles, so from a comparison standpoint, the Fit is still a great deal . . . LOL

Not only on pricing, but a lot of Canadian restrictions have prevented us Canadian's from getting a lot of cool vehicles from before... such as the Evolution... *sigh* and the old Eclipse (back then)

The 2008 Fit in Canada also increase gas mileage (only on the standard model) from 7.3/5.8 l/100km to 7.1/5.7 l/100km. I believe this was done so that they would be able to get the $1k government credit.

Just went to the dealership today and picked up the 2008 Fit brochure, up here in Canada on the 08 models they've excluded the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system)

Our DX model is pretty basic. We only get 2 speakers and no AC. The Canadian LX is basically the American DX. Our sports are pretty well the same though.
