i got replacement wiper blades from honda, and am having a hard time getting the rear one off the wiper arm. it seems like it fits differently than the two in front.
has anyone else noticed this, and is there any trick to getting the rear blade off?
I think you have to buy a whole new car when the rear blade wears out.
I couldn't afford that, so I stopped driving around in reverse.
It's working out fine so far.
Sorry, I'm just a little bored right now. I have no real answers for you, but when somebody else posts a reply, it will come to me in an email.

haha, it's quite alright. your posts are at the least always amusing
FIRSTLY:Do not start until you have the new rubber profile in your hands!
If you damage the old one, you must do without, until you have the new one available!
The rubber blade (and its' metal strips) is flexible, so grab it from the middle, or towards one edge, and pull back firmly (but gently), until one end (or both), disengages, and then you can slide the rubber element and the two reinforcing/holding strips out (DO NOT DAMAGE OR DISCARD THE METAL STRIPS AS THEY MUST BE RE-USED!).
Discard the old rubber profile, and slide the metal strips into the new rubber profile (NOTE: They only go in from one end, the other end has no opening and holds them from going out the other side, as it were).
Slide the new rubber and metal strips back into place, and then pull firmly but gently on the assembly until you can reinsert the final end back into place. Since it basically has "stops" built into the blade holder at each end of the rubber assembly, this is the only way it can be done. I learned this at the dealer, and was happy that I asked!

Later...
that is awesome, thanks a lot. i ended up just bringing it with to the dealer when i got my oil changed and they did it. the guy said "yeah it feels like you're going to break it but you won't", it looked like he just popped it off.
it was also not the dealer i purchased from and had several problems with, so i figured at least if he broke it, he'd be required to fix it
I also posted info regarding front wipers--just had them done today, and it was a bit amusing, since not too many folks have changed them out yet, and the dealers have limited experience as well!
Yes, this is a common problem. To remove the rear blade, try lifting the wiper and rotating it 90 degrees to release it. If it still resists, check that the blade is aligned with the grooves of the wiper, good luck.
When I changed my rear wiper I was completely baffled as to why they changed the design instead of just keeping it the same as the front blade mechanism.
I replaced the rear wiper last year, and although I don't remember the exact procedure, I do remember that it wasn't that difficult, or I'd recall the struggle. I got this part: 76730-S7S-J01 BLADE, WINDSHIELD WIPER (350MM)
It was difficult for me because the first wiper I received which was supposed to work on my Fit didn't and I had to order another wiper from someone else which did work.

I would not replace the entire assembly. That would be a waste.
Order the correct Honda part from an OEM Honda Parts source. You should be able to figure it out from there. The last time I changed mine, I couldn't figure out how to remove the assembly so that I could easily work on the wiper blade replacement. I was baffled. So, I replaced the blades while the assembly was installed. Sometime later, I figured out how to remove the little plastic cover and access the screw holding the assembly in place.
