Rear Wiper has a mind of its own

Not sure if this is normal to Honda Fits, but I have noticed that the rear wiper likes to run, even when its not turned on. Not all the time. But for instance if its raining out, and i have the front wiper on and I shut down the car. Then when i restart the car with the front wipers still on, I notice that the rear wiper will run about 4~5 times, then stop. The wiper stalk is set to off for the rear wiper.
Anyone else experience this behavior?

If you have the front wipers turned "ON" and you go into reverse "R", that will automatically trigger the rear wiper to clear the back window, thinking you want to go backwards. Could it be that?

I suspect it is the behavior described above.
Which is normal.

Ahhhh thank you for posting this! I had this happen and thought it was something electrical. I will say this... in addition to the "reverse trigger" my rear wiper did run a few times with the switch off. I have no idea what else was happening as far as what position the shifter was in or if the front wiper was on... I was just puzzled with the rear wiper behavior, so I turned it on for a couple swipes then off, but it kept running. We're getting more rain tomorrow. I will run some tests.

Mine does not come on unless, as stated, you have the front wipers turned on and shift into reverse. This makes the rear wiper cycle once

I had initially laughed at this thread as I thought for sure it was a cause of too much drug use! Granted I have only owned the fit for a short time, but did have that happen to me yesterday as well! You are not alone.
