Should I get an auto or a manual?!

I'm purchasing a 2008 Fit in a few days and I definitely need some input
on which to get. Right now I'm driving a modded SRT-4 and I like stick
but I need a car I can just chill in. Still I plan on keeping this
car for about 4 years so this needs to be a good long-term choice.
Any input is appreciated.

AT!!
The Paddles are a blast!

But really its personal preference, you should test drive them both to see which one you like more.

depends...do you have a lot of traffic around your area? if not, get stick shift. if you live in the city or have traffic occasionally around your area, get auto

Idk, I have plenty of traffic around my area. How is the paddle shifting?

you should get whichever transmission you prefer. i myself prefer the manual transmission, even if i''m gonna spend a lot of time driving in traffic.

Get the MT and save yourself 4 yrs of regret for not buying an MT. The one car I got that was AT that's all I did after I bought it: "Boy this is a nice car, but it would be even better if it was an MT.", "Wow, this car handles great, but it would be even more fun if it was an MT.", etc. Save yourself while you can.

If you know how to drive stick I definitely recommend it. Better mileage better performance.

However, if you dont' like stick, the auto is nice. I admit I am curious how paddles are like, but Honda put as much effort making the AT fun to drive as the MT.

The MT is so good, that I doubt anyone complains. There has been many testimonials that MT fit drivers don't mind traffic including edmunds long term testers.

If your SRT-4 was a stick, then get a stick for the FIT. The FIT isn't as nearly as fast as the SRT-4, so you are going to need to get the most power out of the FIT. I went from driving a AT accord and now to MT FIT and I will never go back to an AT. It's so much fun to drive. Even in traffic you just get use to it. It becomes like second nature. but good luck on either one you choose. Just getting a FIT is awesome. 38 MPG

the only paddles i like are ones on like the M3 ... shift times in the miliseconts... otherwise its just slow... its still an auto tranny... not a clutchless manuel like in high end cars. i love my MT my first car and could not be happyer... with exception of the giant dent now... but that is not the cars fault.... the dumb ass who cant back up for shit.... **** them!

You obviously know the pros and cons of MT and if you want to just "chill." Look deep in your heart and you'll find your answer <3

....releasing the hounds is not an option....
