Finally getting a Fit.
Finally getting a Fit.
Hi All,
I registered a while ago and have been lurking here for a while but I have finally decided to sell my old EF civic and will be the proud owner of a 2008 Fit LX in vivid blue with the sport spoiler, 3m rock shield and remote keyless entry option by the end of December.
I am taking delivery on December 31st so it will be a happy new year :P
I am from Calgary, AB and I see that we have a dedicated section for us so I will most likely come to a January meet if there is one!
Look forward to meeting a few of you and don't worry I will always use the search function before posting something

As your in Canda like myself. I would suggest getting the bug deflector for your hood. I bought one and it really cuts down on the rock hits. The paint on the hood chips easily and you are also the lowest car on the road so paint chips are inevitable.
You will definitely enjoy the Fit. My 2007 is great.

Would the 3m rock shield not do the same or better than a bug deflector?
I have had 3m on 3 cars now and it really helps but you still get chips once in a while higher up on the hood.
For the guys that drive their fits in snow how would you rate the all seasons they put on the base model? Should I throw them out and get winters asap or the first winter might be ok on the all seasons?

Keep in mind I'm in Canada so it would probably be cheaper but 3m on the front of the hood and mirrors was 368$, if you go all out and do the front bumper and the bottom of the doors it can go up to 1300-1400 dollars easy.
