I just noticed that it's only standard on the Sport version.
For some reason I thought it was standard on the LX. Oh well nothing major since it can be added as an accessory, but of course it's not cheap.

add remote by yourself
Adding a remote to power door locks is easy, and can be done for less than $80 US. Buy an aftermarket kit (check out www.parts-express.com).
7 years ago, I added power door locks plus remote (2 key fobs) to my Civic 4-door for only $150 (Omega brand, from Parts Express). They've worked flawlessly (even the batteries in the key fobs are still original). The install of the power door lock part was a lot of work.
Adding just the remote part to an existing car with power locks is simple (as easy as adding an aftermarket stereo, but since the receiver part of the remote is under the dash, there are no cosmetic worries...it doesn't have to look pretty).

Daniel, when I finally talked to a salesman at Wpg. Honda and showed him this site with all the ads he said someone was getting a Fit tricked out next door to the dealership. Seemed to suggest a shop not part of the dealership.
Also something about entering some cars in a competition.

Wpg Honda told me on Tuesday that they are not even letting anyone test drive the Fit till April 3rd!!!!!!!
WTF??? Thursday I went to another dealer, drove it and then bought it. GG pwned.
Tricked out Fit eh? I'll have to see that.
I just saw this:
http://www.collegehillshonda.com/hon...ries/index.htm
They list Genuine Honda keyless entry for only $108. Great price! They even have the installation instructions PDF'd, so you could look at them and see if it is within your capability.

Just a note for Canadians -- it almost never saves money to order from a US company that ships by UPS, since UPS charges the recipient an extortionate 'brokerage fee'.
Keyless entry is probably the one option I'll actually buy, since I've become used to the "poor man's keyless" of my old car.

Next time I see the nice old lady who lives in the house I'll ask...if she'd pay me to haul it away, LOL.
