I have a 2008 Base Fit, and I want to add keyless entry. I'm looking at Bernardi Parts and they have two keyless entry kits.

I would eventually like to try to get the TL switchblade fob. Does one of these products work with the Acura fob. And what are the differences between these two products.

the LX has a different BCM. the kit for the base model is the one you should go with.

Please note that the dealer will charge you around $200 to program it all. You are probably better off getting a remote starter or alarm it will be less expensive and have more range.

 

As for working with the switchblade keys, I'm not too sure. Your best bet is calling your local honda dealer since they are the only one's that can program it anyhow,

 

From what i've read, I think you can program it yourself. There's a series of steps (hitting lock, key turning, etc.) that will program the module.

I read the whole DIY Acura Switchblade Thread. But it's a little old, so I figured I'd try here. Has anyone had any success with adding the TL fob to the Base Fit keyless entry?
