So just called the dealership to get a quote for getting some keyless entry for my 2009 silver fit base and they say it is 199 a key and 45 to program. So for 2 extra keys it comes in at 450 + tax.... that is insanely high...

 

Especially, considering the MSRP of $314 for adding a dealer-installed security system (which includes keyless entry) to the base Fit. I noticed on the Honda build-your-fit web site, there was no option to add keyless without security?

 

i have an '08 GD3 base model. i got the keyless entry online from handaaccessories.com on sale for about $120 and installed it myself in 15 minutes.

on edit: i just noticed things are different on the '09...

you can get the keyless entry remote/key for $149 online though. then it needs to be cut and programmed at the dealership.

 

Darn! I was planning on installing the keyless entry myself, but I guess I will still have to go through the dealer. Wonder what my dealer will charge to program and cut the key...

 

Most dealerships are saying $45 to program as many keys as you want.
