30,000 mile service
Took the car to the dealer, and needed B12 service, the price they gave me was $380.00, called another dealer they were going to charge $425.00. They were going to perform the following...
oil/filter
fluid check
Hepa filter replacement
Enigine oil Treatment
Check bunch of stuff
Rotate tires
Can someone else confirm this please or am I just getting stressed over this and just have it done.
thanks.

Sounds high if that's really all they are doing. I'm not sure what the fit service recommendations are, but if that's all it is, I would look at doing it yourself:
oil/filter: do it yourself
fluid checks: do it yourself
Hepa filter replacement: not sure about this one, but hopefully you could do it yourself.
Engine oil treatment: Sounds scary. I would be hesitant to do it at all.
Check bunch of stuff: ??? who knows...
Rotate Tires: Discount Tires will do that for free.

i would just skip the hepa filter replacement at 30k miles if that's the cabin air filter. if your air smells really bad all the time though, or the fan can barely blow air, then maybe it would be better to replace it. but at 30k miles and normal conditions i dont think it would need replacement (i could be wrong though, so don't take my word for it, but that's what my dad told me).

Go to the Honda website and print out the recommended services for your code(s). Take it to your favorite local reputable service shop and ask them what they would charge to do the same services. I would guess it wouldn't be over $100. And if you can find some coupons you may be able to get it done pretty cheap. Do the HEPA filter replacement yourself (you can get the filter online fairly inexpensively).
My 2 cents.

B12 means change the oil and filter, rotate the tires, and change the engine and cabin air filters, nothing more, hardly worth $380. Your stealership is trying to rip you off as most dealers do. If you can't do it yourself find an independant to do it. You may have to get the air filters from a Honda dealer as they may not be available in the aftermarket yet. You can probably get the from 2007-2008 Honda Fit Accessories : Genuine Honda Accessories at Discount Prices for less than your stealership wants.

always have two cars. my other car is a 2003 subaru WRX.
DIY.. I do..
rotate my own tires. the fact that i have airtools and floor jacks makes this easier and faster.. still you can do it yourself with a simple jackstand and your car jack.
change my own oil..
check fluids and refill. i can do my own radiator with some care. i haven't had to do the brake fluid on the car yet.
replace brake pads. (i have also replaced drums and rotors before and saved big money here).
and other stuff.
only thing i take my cars to the dealer for are for warranty stuff and eventually timing belt replacements.
only car i didnt do this for was an m3 i had that came with 3 years full maintenance..
do it yourself.. my next car is gonna be a vette (to replace the subie keep the fit as a dd). and i will do all maintenance on that car too...
save yourself the money...

So I looked up the B12 service and there is supposedly a lot of inspection that goes along with that. One good argument for taking it into the dealer is that you are at the tail end of your warranty and it might be a good idea to have someone give the whole car a once-over before you lose the warranty.

"Engine oil treatment" does NOTHING but put money in the dealership owners pocket. Absolutely NOT NEEDED they just put it into cars that are owned by people that don't know anything about cars. It's your right to REFUSE this junk or any other "Additives" that they try to sell you.

its funny i know this thread been dead for a while..but i was offered this service today..and since i am a former employee of jiffy lube all i said to them was i know i dont need this service done to my car...he said but it is needed we need to flush your transmission and many other lies..i said well i know i dont need that because its not recommened to be done to almost any car and then i said if you have a problem with that well let me speak to your manager...only reason was because he kept insiting on me to do it...like badly

I just called my local dealer (Steve Jones Honda in Aberdeen NC) for a 30K service quote.
Wait for it...
$719.95.
I had him repeat it twice.
"But there is a $30 off coupon available" he says!
I laughed and hung up.

Who do they think they are, Harley-Davidson???

Wow...my local dealer has been decent price-wise on my Civic service...$150 for the 30k mile service...mostly the same stuff as what you've listed. I hope they don't charge jacked up prices on the Fit...I've been really happy with them over the years. I don't mind that they cost a little bit more than an independent mechanic because they have always been trustworthy.

there is nothing wrong with going to the dealer. i can do this stuff myself to, but i life at an apt complex and have no area to do so, and dont feel like burdening someone else with asking them if i can 'go over' to do it.
guys, by asking for a '30k' service you are asking to get raped. your fit doesn't judge service by mileage intervals, it judges as you go in general. dont ask for a '30k' or '20k' service, ever. the only time honda quotes a service interval using mileage is at 100k.
this has been beaten to death guys.
