In my humble opinion, VSA+navi is worth the money. It's more than the gps. It's well integrated into the car. I know what all the navi might include that is missing. You can read that elsewhere in the forums. VSA works well, and it is always working. I disagree with those who say that good drivers don't need it.
So:
Navi with voice input, steering wheel controls, easy ipod integration, and VSA=worth the money to me.
As I always say, the first time you're cruising down the road at 70 mph late at night and have to swerve to avoid a dead skunk or a raccoon ambles out in front of you and you feel and hear the VSA kick in seamlessly, you'll wonder why you even thought about it.
Cheers

My 1st impression was that the nav + VSA is a bit overpriced. However, I opted for the NAV + VSA option because I drive in the snow during winter (without snow tires...just with All-Season) and I plan to keep my Fit as long as it runs. I figured that if the VSA bails me out even on just 1 accident, then it paid for itself. Better to have it than be thinking right before impact, "I knew I should have gotten VSA."
It was this video that pulled the trigger for me:
YouTube - How Effective is Stability Control
I know that the video is a bit unrealistic (who in their right mind would be driving in that speed under those conditions?)

Wow. That video was amazing! Yeah, a little unrealistic--I don't think I'd be driving 70 in those conditions, but still!
Consumer Reports gave the Fit a "Recommended Buy" only for the Sport with Nav/VSA. They will no longer recommend any cars that don't have stability assist. That was the selling point for me.

The US government will be requiring VSA on all 2012 models because it significantly reduces accidents and more importantly deaths. How much is your life and the life of your loved ones worth.
Shame on Honda for not making it an option on all models including entry level. Toyota offers it even on their lowest models for $500.
The voice control navi is also cool to have. I didn't realize how much I would enjoy it until I started using it.
