4th day owning I got hit!!

So i park my fit in our garage (next to a 79 Mercedes 450 sl) because its the newest car, My mom pulled in her Chrysler Pacifica
in front of the garage blocking it. I asked her to move it so I could get my fit out, she was busy so my dad offered to move it. SO he pulled it forward, so i could pull out (reverse out actually). SO I am about halfway out of the garage when I see white lights come on from the back of the pacifica. "He isnt going to back up while i am literally 5 inches from the bumper is he?" i thought to myself. (At this point am in neutral, because i am about to shift into first, so i can pull a bit forward to give me more room to back up. I see him start to back up. "OH SH*T!!!!" I screamed. I started honking the horn "Stop" I screamed with my windows up (which was probably pointless in reterospect). He continues to back up into the back door driver's side. "Fu*k" I scream as I hear my fit being backed into by this big a$$ Chrysler. My dad stopped and pulled forward , and got out. I had already had my e brake pulled and was out inspecting the damage (it took about a nanosecond after my dad had pulled forward for me to get out and look at the damage) UGhhhhhhh I am soo upset.

Here is a scale image of the scene (not really)
*Note the Xterra is parked(actually closer to the pacifca but my paint skills are kind bad so it looks farther away), the purple on the Pacifica represents reverse lights, The blue coming from the fit is the horn blaring.

What a way to start a new year!

The first 2 are the same pic, but with just a different contrast. I was in my garage and it was dark so the light from the flash in a dark garage makes the damage look way worse.

Also my brother was like i bet this wipes off with spit and licks his finger and wipes it on my car. I pretty much hate my entire family lol jk

AAAAhhhhh....bummer....

Sorry to hear/see that man...ugh! I know the feelin... My dad a couple years ago backed into my 01 civic coupe while it was in the garage.
He opened the garage and just backed straight in! I was pissed but didnt show it...just ran outside (I saw it happen while I was in the house and was yelling "STOP....STAAAAAAHP...BLAAAAAAH...WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYT ...", but I was inside and windows dont make for great speakers)
and said all calmly "what happened" and then he proceeded to yell at me for 5min. You gotta love the irony...irony with a capital WTF!
I never got it fixed but my bumper was missaligned (closer to the left headlight and pushed back abit)

Anywho...this isnt about me....
Just wondering if/when you get it fixed if you could post how much it was and who did the fixin...
I just think its helpful to those who want/need an idea of such costs

Take care and hope this all gets sorted out soon...to bad it was after x-mas, If it was before you automaticaly wouldnt have to get him a gift! HAAHAAA

Sorry to hear about your accident and gosh what can you say when it was family especially a Dad! Well, dents can be fixed so keep your chin up and know that it can be repaired. Dad will maybe feel responsible and help you out with the expense too. Let us know how it goes.

yeah, really it isnt that bad the pics make it look much worse. Turtle wax will fix most of it i can tell. Although I will have to get a small dent fixed. Its not that deep or long so it shouldn't be too expensive. Also my moms best friend's brother like owns it so i might get a good deal.

i too think majority of the top scuff will come off with polish.

on the bottom one, unless you intend to get the entire door repainted
have a PDR tech push it out as best he can. then you take some
touchup and fill in, or have the dealer's mobile touchup place fill in
for you. if the scuff is low enough on the car, no one will be able to
tell.

... or keep it damaged and pick on your dad each time. lol

goodluck with the repairs.

PSSSHHh photoshop, please. Thats MS Paint baby. Although on the pictures of the damage I used the gimp to scale it and change the contrast. Its free i really recommend it. I like it better than photoshop, and you can get it legally for free.

that sux man...you can always sand it down...get spray paint primer, and buy a color matched car spray paint and clear coat paint to get it new again...its a lot cheaper than getting it fixed at a paint shop
