Wow, there are some hard core drivers here! I've been following this forum for a while , because I'm interested in getting a 2nd gen Fit next year. I bought my '98 Type R new in April of 1998. It now has 73,000 miles. Of course I was Snap-on dealer for 7 of those years, so i didn't drive it every day. I can't wait to get a Fit and do a 6,000 mile cross counry road trip. Maybe we should organize a Honda Fit One Lap of America!

52k since April 20, 2006.

Going to slow down on the mileage for a bit as some woman mixed up gas and brake after sideswiping a truck at 5 mph, and did a 0 - 20 mph run across the yellow line right into the left front corner of my Fit. Seems like cosmetic damage only...it drives fine, but will likely spend 3 or 4 days at a body shop.

how do you figure 127,000 / 18 months = 7500? its actually 7055 but at the same time that is still a huge amount of miles to drive. haha. sorry bro but i had to say something even though 7055 is still almost unreachable.

Our odometer registers kilometers, not miles.

whoops, made a mistake!
Wednesday afternoon, I asked my wife what the odometer was and she guessed it might have been 205,300 km when actually it was 203,500km.

Anyhow, tonight it is now at 203,777km (126,621 miles).

How do I drive that much?
I don't. My wife does - mostly ferrying the kid around.
Sometimes I get to drive it on weekends.
We don't live in the city, so to do anything means using the car. Plus, it's our only car.

Over half of her driving is at night and she shares the roads with deer, elk, and moose. You can only dodge so many animals before your luck runs out. (Moose are dark, their eyes don't shine, and can cross the road at 35 mph.) So I butchered the front bumper to put on these lights.

Those black dots under the headlights are my attempt at headlight washers - with the salt, slush, and dirt on the roads, one has to stop and clean the lights after coming close to any huge truck.

Hopefully we can move to the city in the future, and then we can use the city transit system. Until then - gotta love those Hondas.
