What location did you use for your ScanGauge?

I mounted my SG on the steering wheel nacelle and it blocks all the indicators in the bottom of the speedo including turn lights. I'm worried something may come on and I'll miss it and to be honest with the music on, sometimes I do not hear the turn signal and now do not see the lights. Not good at all.

What other locations have you used??

I have mine in the same spot. All of the important lights are in the right pod next to the gas gauge.

here is a pic where i mounted mine, i ran the wire up under the steering column cover, then up the side of the steering column

this is how i see it, barely covers the bottom few lights, but i can still see them all

here is where the obd connector is. this is to the left of the center console

That is actually a good location (if you have short cup for the cup holders) but I think it needs a bracket in order to angle out correctly.

Is it too big by chance to fit in the change holder thingy? (left hand side below the mirror adjuster toggle) I have been wondering that for so long its not even funny. If It fits that most likely where I would put mine.
But Idunno since I dont have one yet .heehee

For those of you looking to buy a ScanGuage, also check out a recent entry, the MSD Dashhawk. It's a litte more expensive but is arguably a little less chunky looking and has some extra features that the SG doesn't: 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, programmable visual or audible alerts (ie shift indicator), bar graph display, data logging and transfer to pc, ...).

DashHawk Vehicle Information Display

FWIW, I have no connection to MSD (I actually own a ScanGauge II), just pointing out an alternative to the ScanGauge.

They also don't have the Honda codes for the cool stuff. As SG posts the ones they find and work out I'm wondering looking at the list (below) if MSD are letting SG do the heavy lifting. Looks like the same list SG has for the X gauge points.

Was messing with mine in the current location today and found by lower the steering column all the way most of the idiot lights show up.

I had also thought of putting mine above the center AC vents as mentioned, but was not hot on the idea of placing it out there to be seen or having to take it off every time I park in a public lot. The hot dash also does bad things to LCD displays..

Keep the ideas coming.
