Yikes!!

How hard did you hit? How did you know it broke (symptoms before just looking at it)?

Sorry for the mishap, hope you get it resolved quickly. You might get challenged on it if there was other evidence that the vehicle was misused - bent suspension members, steering components etc.

i was curious because a honda dealer nearby where i live told me that they'd have to look at it first to see if the damage is covered. :/

i dont see why it shouldnt be... under normal conditions it shouldnt break by going over a dip... if its not warrentyed see if the town or state may be responsible... if its an issue with the road they might be liable as well... good luck getting it resolved

I figure if you hit the dip with that much force yet your teeth are still intact you should be covered

I too would like to know what you felt and/or heard right after impact or shortly there after that made you suspect it.

Secondary Damage

If you tell the dealers that you hit something that caused the broken mount, then it's NOT a warranty claim.

If your mount broke, I'll be inclined to think that something else broke; ie: dented oil pan or a cracked tranny bell housing that hit the actual dip...

+1

If nothing else looks damaged, I would just tell them you started it up one morning and it started making a rattling noise (or however you can tell the mount broke).
