My transmission mount is broken, again...

Hello,

I replace my transmission mount last year with one by the company anchor, it's already all ripped to hell and my transmission is simply resting on the frame and this causes vibrations in the cabin.

I could replace it again and this time pack it with some silicone calking type material or bite the bullet and by the honda one for about 3 times the price... (110$ vs 30$). What should I do? P.S. I don't want to do a racing mod and I'm not looking to stiffen anything up, i just want smooth operation. Thanks for your suggestions!

if u further harden the mount, u will need to do the others also. there will be increased vibrations putting more strain on the other mounts.

just stick oem, but take a look at the other mounts, they may have gone bad too.

It is easy to see but hard to be done (trench or lift required). The car has to be FLAT with no strain acting on the mounts and on its ride height.

You can use a tire changing jack to lift the engine bracket to get it in however it has to be tightened as said above.
