Fit in Japan Sales Leader for 4 Consecutive Months
The latest report released by the Japan Automobile Dealers Association shows that the (next-gen) Fit in Japan has been No. 1 in new car sales (ex-kei) for four (4) consecutive months through the end of February.
In Feburary 2008, a total of 15,980 Fits were registered in Japan, followed by the Corolla at 14,330 units. No. 3 was the Vitz (Yaris), with 13,367 units being reported as registered for the same period.

Since it's selling like hot cakes I wonder how that will affect how we (US) get our Fits? Will we still get them from Japan or somewhere else? Some people here would loathe the thought of buying a Fit made from the U.S. but I wouldn't mind.....aren't the civics and corollas built here without too many problems. Haven't done any research on that but I also haven't seen any massive recalls in the news on them.
