Any update on this? My car too is having this problem though I think it's being caused by heat from the turbo.

I had an Eagle Talon that did almost the same thing once. It turned out to be water that got trapped in the cylinder hole for the spark plug. Once I dried those out the shuttering went away. I havent tried it yet on the Fit yet though.

Where did you get your turbo? Can you tell a difference, I know you can, but a big difference? Have you ran it on a dyno yet?

I changed the filter in the tank and it still is doing it. Now even worse, starting to die.

I tried to hook up a code reader to it even though there is no light on. My reader said it wasnt hooked up. Took it to a parts house to use their more expensive reader and it said the same thing "vehicle not responding/communicating". So i checked every fuse i can find and they are all good. Totally baffled. Is my computer bad? Is there a relay out allowing it not to talk to code readers?

I'm having the same problem. I've had it ever since i changed the spark plugs out. Either it's my spark plugs (maybe DOA of one of em?) or one of my coil packs is going bad. I'm gonna go buy another set of plugs 2 see if it fixes it. If not, then it must be a coil pack then i must drop $75 for a new one. =[

With 82,000 miles, a lot of possible causes. I would imagine a skilled mechanic can remove the cover and check the timing chain and timing gear for excessive play.

Mine started before i changed the plugs. Whatever it is it is getting worse and worse. Is there a way to check your coil packs before plopping down the dough

Before you think its the coil pack, check your fuel injectors to see if its dirty and any leaks in the vacuum hose.

Also, try resetting the ECU to see if it can pick up any CEL. A misfire should give you somewhere along the lines of P3xx code.

Dump a can of Seafoam into the fuel tank to clean the injectors, valves, and combustion chambers. It may take 100-200 miles of driving to notice an improvement.
If that does not fix the problem, then I'm betting on either a bad coil pack or a burned valve.

I have tried about 3-4 cans of cleaner over the past year. Still have the stutter. I would read the codes but my computer isnt talking to any of the readers i hook up to it. Very frustrating.

Have you tried a compression test?

Sure havent, I would think that a compression issue would result in a more consitent miss. Mine stutter/miss is very sporadic.

My xA is doing the same exact thing. When im stopping at a stop light it will stutter... and idling at 500 rpm's. The light came on and read as "P0301 Cylinder #1 — Misfire Detected", changed the plugs and still doing the same thing. Took it to the shop and the guy told me it could be that the plugs were not gapped correctly or the coils might be bad. I haven't done any of those things yet cause my car hasn't acted up lately.

Yeah mine is doing the same thing. I'm sure its a coil pack going bad. It can't be the injectors, those are clean b/c i have cleaned em. I also cleaned the crank case with seafoam (i've been using it for years so i know how 2 use it) and cleaned the injectors with it. I know it's the coil packs. I'm off to purchase some new spark plugs and if it doesn't fix the problem, i'm going to order me one new coil pack. ::sigh::

After reading one of your post, the ECU has to be the problem that is causing the misfires. If its not picking up the CEL codes then the ECU has gone bad. Try resetting the ECU if you haven't already.

Even if you replace your coilpack you still have the ECU problem.

how do you reset the ECU? Do you mean like reflashing it? I unplugged the battery the other day for about 10 minutes and still same thing.
