Have you ever owned an EVO before? Sure its Great performance. I've had the car for 4-5 years. Its great fun and all, handling, the turns, and power (not to mention looks) and sure it turn heads. Thing about power is, you can never get enough. After 280WHP, you'd want 300.. and so on. You spend all the money on upgrades you don't really need. After a while the car doesn't feel as fast anymore (you get used to it). Then you realize you don't really need all that power driving it to work, school, the gym, going on with your daily lifestyle. Who do you need to race and what benefits would you gain from racing...on the the streets? Then you start thinking, I'm paying for gas, high tire wear, brakes, maintenance, the works! just to get from point A to B driving speed limit; the pigs wont get off your ass... The Evo was built for for the track, a full race car. If I could, I would have a fit as a daily driver, and the evo as a full out tracked car. But in the real world, not everyone has money for both... not yet

Or, do something like me...keep both!

The Fit for DD and the Evo for the weekends.

I luv my Fit but it will never be in the same category as the Evo.

my 2 cents...

15mpg LOL! Sorry, man... I know how you feel. I came from a WRX and an STI, so premium and not-so-great gas mileage are a very distinct memory for me. However, it's been almost 4 months now since I took delivery of my Fit, and let me tell you, only paying around $25 at the pump, averaging over 30mpg, saving lots on insurance, and the overall utility of the car, will make you forget about the power...

...but not completely. I still miss my Subies, but with gas prices the way they are (and the money pits they were with my aftermarket habits), the Fit has been a fantastic choice.

Sounds like a personal problem to me.You dont have to race, you dont have to have gobs of power under your foot at all times.

Sure the evo is a pure sports sedan, but the thing about those is that they are sedan 1st meaning that they can be economical.

i came from a 220 AWHP celica alltrac/gt-four (st165) that got about 18mpg city & 30mpg highway (if i were driving @ 65mph ::SNORE:. i don't miss the power at all but i did have a strong emotional attachment to the gt-four. i'd sell my Fit in a heart beat if i found a healthy gt-four. if you really LOVE your EVO, i mean really LOOOVVVEEE your EVO, make every sacrifice you can to keep it.

However, i F'ING LOVE MY FIT as well! pulling into gas stations and pulling out before the SUV owners can fill half their tank, honda reliability, and surprisingly quick acceleration - till you get to the top of 2nd gear, then it's all downhill from there LoL.

I definitely traded up in terms of practicality; but, dammit, i want my gt-four back

I was speaking from an economic standpoint in general. Thinking about the Margin of benefit from personal experience not personal problems. Sure, any sedan was made for a family car, sports sedan what ever you'd like to call it. But if that family "sedan" averaged 15-18 MPG, why not just drive a damn SUV? Explain to me how the sedan can be economical? I don't think the evo was made for economical I'm sorry. I think the words you were looking for would be something that had four doors and able to seat 5 comfortably; that being more convenient.

I'll trade you my fit for your evo.
If you chose to get a fit, swap or boost it or both

Seems like many Fit owners used to drive an Evo.

I'm one of them which sold my 03' Evo VIII for a great price btw and got a Fit. Do I miss the Evo? I don't think so.
