Hi All:

I've had my FIT since 05/2006...Lately been hearing this funny noise from my car usually in the morning or when I leaving work because the cars been sitting for awhile. Basically on cold starts. When I would gas the car I could hear this gurgling or sounds like water rushing back then when I brake I hear it again. It only happens around 5-15mph and after the car warms up the sound goes away.

My parent's have a simiar problem with the 97 camry but there's never goes away. Does anyone know what could be causing that sound?

Any ideas would be appreciated..Thanks

 

its the gas in the tank.

 

you're either hearing the gas moving around as posted above, or
you got air in your cooling system.

Are you sure, because the sound comes around where the gas pedal is. I thought it might be the gas tank because I've read a lot on it, but I thought our gas tank was under our seats?

I'll look into the cooling system..I gotta look to see if that was part of the 30k mile tune up that I recently did...That might have been when the noise started...cars at 39k now so that is a good possibility. Thanks..

 

It's the cooling system...not the gas tank. SB out on this.
