I got a call last night that my fit is in. I go down on Saturday to go pick it up. I need to go apply for a loan this afternoon, any tips or hints or things you'd wish you'd thought of after buying your fit and getting home?

Congrat's! Just drive it gently for the first 600 miles. I'd also pick it up as early as possible so no one test drives it. Until you pick it up it's fair game.

the one thing i regret is being forced into an extended warranty in order to get a decent percentage for interest. had i known i could buy one for MUCH cheaper at a later date AND NOT HAVE TO FINANCE IT, i would have.

funny on the extended service plan thing, even more funny you live in illinois.... did you buy it at brian bemis ???? they did the same thing to me ! but i called them out on it i was like so i get a 10 % but if i buy a extended plan i get a 7 % because you ll use a coupon.... i was like noway i work at a mortgage company and deal with banks all day and there is no way their going to except a 3 point risk because you have a coupon, i bitched at the gm and magically i got 7 % without buying the extended service plan

Try to get them to through in some extra keys. You only get two and they are expensive. If yours is a Sport your keys will have a "lock fob" as part of the key. You can have keys made without this fob which will work. Try to get them to through in floor mats too. Ditto on not buying an extended warranty, if you want one, you can get one from a dealer on the internet for about half the price.

 

Floor mats are included in with every car at this dealership.
