Another Lowering Question

Hey sorry to keep asking about lowering your Fit but I have another quick question for you guys that have dropped Fits.
When you buy lowering springs like the Eibach pro kit, do you need to buy struts or coilovers or is it okay to just install the springs?

I bought Eibachs for my Integra and the guy recommended that I buy struts also but said it wasn't necessary.
I was later told by some people that it could hurt my stock struts and that they couldn't handle it.
I'm going to have a new Fit so I don't want to damage anything but I'd like to know if I could just buy Eibach/Skunk2 and have a nice drop without hurting anything.

There are no easily attainable replacement struts and shocks at the moment, and anyone lowered on springs is probably running them on stock struts and shocks. I've been fine so far (I'm dropped on skunks). But the shocks and struts will probably need replacing sooner than with stock springs, and hopefully by that time they are available.

As long as the drop is conservative (less than 1.5 inches) stock struts will work. It is not the best thing to do and they will wear out a bit before the stock suspension would but it's not bad.

If you want to lower more than that I would not recommend stock struts at all.

I wasn't planning on going too low, just enough to close the big gap between the tires and frame.
Thanks for all the feedback!
