does the odo still count if your engine ins off?
Yep when you do the math it kind of makes you wonder.
What I can't say for sure is if the SG 0.25 to 0.3g/hr is accurate?
The 1st time I read that I said to myself, WOW my Fit could idle for 36hrs, if I started with a full tank. I'll call Scan Gauge next week.
at 42mpg it would take 7 hrs to burn a tank at stead 60mph. That's 1.4gal/hr
I would of guessed closer to 1/2gal or more per hr but that is just a gut feel

I've stopped shutting off the ICE for now. As of right now - I'm pretty sure I'm on a personal record of a tank...
380 miles, and a little under a 1/4 of a tank left. (the previous best was 310 miles @ 1/4 tank... it worked out to 42 MPG by the time I filled up).
I am wondering how much fuel is consumed when one starts the car. My new thread is on FAS. In some situations I FAS up to a stop light, sit there and start the car. Coasting at low speeds without using gas is a plus but does it out weigh the fuel consumed when starting the car?
We maybe able to find out in a day or so from my thread:
