Is BBP Blue or Purple?

Mine is coming in sometime soon (hopefully). The dealership here has trouble keeping them in stock so I went ahead and signed my name to the blackberry pearl because I wasn't a fan of the red ones they had on the lot. Online it looks like a dark blue, but in some of the pictures it appears to be purple.

Anyone have some well-lit shots of their BBP?

Ah thanks. I found a few but they all seemed to be very poorly lit. I suppose I can survive with purple.

BBP is a super dark purple i think. But like most of the Fit colors, always looks different in different lightings.

It is definitely BOTH blue and purple. Like mentioned above, it really depends on the lighting but it is more than just a single color. It is a 'Pearl' paint so when she sits in direct sunlight you can see different color flecks in the paint. There is a dark navy base (whether it is navy blue or navy purple is up to you), on top of that there are what seem to be VBP and MR color flecks as well as some silver for the extra eye-catching factor.

Whatever color you decide to call it is up to you. All I know is that it was the best color choice I had at time of purchase.

I really want to see someone crack the case of the mystery BBP lighting. I have yet to see a photograph capture the purple element of this color. They always look blue.

See this shot where it's dark purple at the front, then transition to dark blue at the back. Jump back to page 8 in that thread for close-up shots of the speckle in the paint.

Very cool, it sold me on the colour (doubt I can get it though ).

Well, quick update. Turns out that dealer showed us the wrong color. The car is actually Vivid Blue Pearl. Overall, I'm happier with that as it was my preference from the beginning. Just brought her home tonight.

Mine likes to trick me. It turns purple in the sun, Navy blue in the shade, and black at night. I wonder how many people would be mistaken between a BBP and NHBP at night. They look exactly the same at night.
