Nav

I know theres no definite, but does anyone know if the 2009's NAV system will be transferable to the 07-08's?

After reading about it, im quite impressed. its not crap like i thought originally, though the rest of the new fit is.

Probaly will be transferable, but will cost ya an arm and a leg through Honda.

why not just get an aftermarket navi??

Yeah. Im looking at some portable units right now. You can can get some really great ones in the 250$ to 350$ range.

350 bucks for a nice navi. im pretty sure that beats out any OEM unit right now.

Ehh I dont think you can get aftermarket NAV with voice recognition like what is offered in Honda/Acura NAV. The NAV they offer is considered an industry best.

Not saying its worth $1500-$2000, but aftermarket units are not better.

^^^ I do agreed with you on the Nav from Honda....b/c I have the 2008 Pilot w/ the Nav...beat out most OEM Nav out there.....

Plus it's integrated into the dash as opposed to being something you have to mount separately somewhere. You're paying for the aesthetic as well.

im really doing it for the DVD feature, for the little lady on long drives.
the avic-d3 is a little high for me, and I hear the nav can be annoying.
i really think i can navigate well here, but im planning on going to CA and it would definately help.
If Honda wants 1k+ for theirs then forget it. I'll get the pioneer.
