60k Miles

I hit 60,000 today...everything is as good as it was at 10k.

I have slowed down a bit with my mileage, but I think it will be picking up quite a bit over the next couple months. At one point I was averaging 40k a year, but I am down to 30k average now as my car just turned 2.

I'll be interested to see how things go for the next 60k. I originally thought I might run this one to 200k or so, but I have to admit...I might look at the new gen Fit in or around 2010.

yeesh your car is a veteran! i was going to flush my radiator today and then i gave it a little thought...because the radiator fluid is named something along the lines of "Honda long life coolant," does the "long life" suggest that the system does not need to flushed until a lot further down the road? i postponed it till a later time in the car's life. i just don't know when i postponed it to.

I own a business (R e v o l u t i o n P O S) and I wear a lot of hats, so I drive a ton. I do a lot of sales work, so that means I am all over the place.

We cover approximately Harrisburg, PA to the Jersey shore and Scranton, PA to Lewes, DE. We recently started to sell one of our retail packages to the entire state of PA, so that is going to start increasing the amount of miles I drive.

The funny thing is that I have a 2003 Element that is used only on install days (and a bit in the winter, it is 4WD), but the Element is now backup to our new Ford E150. I just sold a 97 Odyssey that was a business vehicle and I still have my 97 del Sol VTEC. The point of mentioning all the cars? I'd guess I drove about 8000 to 10000 miles in the last year on cars other than the Fit!

The Fit is an 07...I picked it up on April 21, 2006. solbrothers...you are lucky I am a dork. I just happened to notice the odometer exactly on 60,000 and I grabbed my BlackBerry, took a shot and saw 60,001! Oh well. I'll post that pic if I ever get around to it. The really big milestones are 100,000 and 123,456. I'll get there soon enough.

Manual. Mine isn't too bad. Do you do a lot of driving on the hills up there?

I was just up there yesterday signing a new client.

are all pics when the del Sol was about 8 days old. I added the spoiler after that. I don't have any recent pics...she's a garage queen now mostly, only due to having to take a little guy to daycare 3 days a week.

Currently the interior is pretty much perfect and the exterior needs a paint job...red fades pretty bad. It is bone stock, which probably makes it extremely rare. Mine is #717 of about 800 VTECs made that final year, so it's pretty rare to begin with.

BTW, that's Reading, PA, not CA.

I got mine 7 days after you and I have 58,000 mi I'm catching up My car was out of commission for about 2 months though. As with you no mechanical problems car still idles smooth, it's great! Glad to see another fit owner racking up on the mileage too! Good luck.
