First Gas station visit

2008 AT Fit
First fill results:
8.5 Gallons (Second Click.)
316.2 Miles
37.2 MPG!

Note: The fuel light did not come on.

This on about 75% highway driving. I stayed in the slow lanes, 55mph to 65mph, easy on acceleration and following semi trucks when possible. It actually made for a less stressful commute. I was surprised that it did so well and was hoping for the low thirties range. The Fit is nice to drive and there are little things that bother me but nothing I didn't expect on an economy car.

I hope my first fill is as good as yours. I don't know what the economy will be as the dealer filled it and the car is not yet broken in.
My Fit is just sitting as I have been riding my bicycle to work. So I may not fill it this month!

yeah you're lucky,
usually the first fill up doesn't have such good mileage!

I was very surprised and didn't think I curbed my lead foot driving that well. I will post the second fill up this Friday.

Easy on the gas & drafting ftmfw!... .I should try that... the best I've EVER gotten is 32-33 mpg. (I don't have patience for people driving under the speed limit... I always end up reving to get away from them).... You've inspired me to try harder.... maybe.

First and second fill up

2008 Fit Base Manual (MR)
My first fill up gave 38.3 mpg with mountain driving (from 5000 feet to 9,000 feet over the peak to peak highway and into Estes Park)

The second one gave 40.3 mpg and the third is looking strong.

Have 650 miles on car in first week. Tried the non-babied breakin and pep and mileage appears to be excellent.

Second Gas Station Visit

2008 AT Fit
Second fill results:
6.8 Gallons (Second Click.)
246.6 Miles
36.2 MPG!

Didn't do as much highway and not as many miles as the first tank but I am impressed and don't miss my 15mpg V8 at all. Well maybe a little...
