Maximum tire/wheel size

Maximum tire/wheel size
I didn't have much luck with info on the LED tailights so I've decided to spend the money on a wheel and tire upgrade. Can anybody tell me the maximum size wheel and tire combination you can run on a non-lowered Jazz without rubbing/scraping on turns or bumps?
Thanks,

18 & 19 inch is not advisable because of the offset. Also consider that despite the numerous wheel designs that are available there are NO 18" & 19" wheels with a 4 x 100 P.C.D. Therefore changing brakes and rotors to accomodate a 5 lug rim will be necessary. This is costly and doesn't include the cost of the rims. A 16" Work Emotion CR Kai (currently the ones I use) or a VolK Racing CE28N and several others work quite well, are lighter overall and improve the handling capabilities of the car substantially. A 17" will work but will require a tire that is smaller in height. The 16" wheels in my opinion are optimal. Add the tower bars and pillar bars from J's Racing and you'll have a mean little sleeper. First impression of mine people always ask "what you got in there, a K20?" Imagine the shock when I tell them it's a stock 1.3L!

I would say there are to sides of that one is handling and performance the other is looks. If you are in to show cars like me 17"-18" or even 19" is the only way to go.You cant put a bodykit like the Axis or Ings on a Fit"Jazz" and then 15"-16" rims that would Absolutly not work on a show not in sweden were i live anyway.
Have a look on www.ings-net.com and tell me if the 17" on that Fit looks nice or not?

16" is the max, don't get anything bigger than 16's!
I'm kidding, bigger ones will fit but it will look stupid, handle terribly, and slow you down with wieght issues. I just don't understand why eveybody wants to have the biggest wheels possible.

If I remember correctly...
...The basic tire size for the Honda Fit/Jazz is 175/65R14, with 185/55R15 for the more sporting models with the L15A VTEC engine.
I would probably kind of avoid going to anything bigger than 185/55R15, especially nowadays you can get excellent tires at that size.

Largest we've mounted that had no issues is 195/45x17 on 45 mm offset wheel, 6 or 7" rim width.
I personally like the 195/40x17 on 17x6/45 mm because it drives better than the 195/45x17's. Less weight and diameter really hooks up. The 18 and 19 inch wheels require too thin a tire like 25 or 30..

205/40/17 ever give you any issues?
Just wanted to see if you had any troubles on these. What about availability of getting that tire size.

if you are into drag race, i guess fitting widest, thickest tire would make sense..
but i think fit is really comes alive in corners... when cornering, i think 16 inch tire are perfect. not too heavy but has enough surface for tracking.
just my 5 cents.
