Chip repair

Finally took a 4 hour highway trip and noticed a chip in the front lip under the passenger fog light. Its the size of a mosquito splat....but definetly want to make invisible as much as I can.

Just wondering if anyone had a link on the 'proper' way of repairing a chip. I searched but perhaps I missed a link somewhere here. I have the factory touch up paint back home.

Just a question....I noticed my chip went right to the black plastic....when I looked at a black fit....i noticed that the chips were all white....what color is the primer underneath our paint? On mine, it almost looks like theres no primer or something.

get the TOUch up paint where they have a small brush and you could possibly try brushing a bit of paint on it. Otherwise if you're that anal about it get the whole lip resprayed. Next time you take another 4hour hwy trip tape up your front end to avoid bugs/rockchips.

Check with towerpaint.com they match the color to your car just like the factory. I've bought honda ones before and they are a tint off.

if your going to get a respray look at other potions... i know my lip is all scratched up (thank you college plow guys) and rather than respray im just going to put a CF lip on, it would cost about the same, other than that I would say touch up paint, but it wont be perfect...

I will probably just touch it up. I found that for smaller chips, like this, its better to use a toothpick or a matchstick to apply. Also apply in thin coats. Once done, use a compound to smooth out the spot...then wax.

I will probably just use the factory touch up paint since white is pretty forgiving.
