I drove a mazda3 when some idiot side swipped me on my fit, the mazda3 that I drove got better gas mileage than my fit. Although it was a nice car, I have alot more fun driving my fit and would never think about trading my fit for a mazda3. So if youre thinking of switching to a fit then I would recommend it

 

We used to own a Mazda3; it was a great car, but I prefer the Fit. The Fit seems like it has more trunk than the 3, definitely get's better milage, and feels quicker around town than the 3. The 3 definitely had more luxury though; heated leather seats, HIDs, rain-sensing wipers, sun-roof, all of which we've missed. I'm a huge Mazd a fan and a Honda hater, but I can't deny how much I enjoy the fit.

 

if i wasnt concerned about mileage i would have got a mazdaspeed three, the power and torque cant be beat for the price, that said i love my fit and if we didnt still need the odyssey i might get another one

 

Ya, the problem with the MS3 was that once it hit Car&Driver and got great press the price went up and they started slapping on extra money on them around here over MSRP. That is one hack of a car for the bucks. I would prefer going back and buying a 04 Sti over it. To much power for a FWD car even though it handles well and such. But then again, I got 14mpg on average for the 2 years I had an Sti.
