Sounds like you have the factory alarm accessory installed... My car only honks once when you lock the doors with the remote. It doesn't honk at all when you unlock the doors...

Try sitting in your car. Lock the doors with the remote and open the door manually and see of the horn starts honking. That should verify whether or not you have the factory alarm...

As for DRL, I think only canadian models require that, coz mine doesn't have DRL...

Dude your doors lock when you disengage the E brake. Ive never even heard of that in a Fit. Thats really weird. Maybe it has something to do with the aftermarket security system. Thats what i figure.
And i have never had DRL either man?lol Do any Fits have Daytime running lights?

Daytimes, you dont have a Canadian Fit.... as stated above me.

Doors locking when the ebrake goes down? Thats odd.
You sure you arent hitting the driverside lock down with your arm? *laughs*
Never know....

haha no, it would be pretty impressive act of stupidity if i accidentally hit the door lock button every time i put my ebrake down for a year straight without noticing that i was doing it. haha

I use to have the Karr alarm system on the 07, installed by the dealer for $300. It does the same thing, but instead of locking when e-brake, it'll lock the door when I turn the key. That alarm system was very sensitive, it use to go off if someone yells right next to my fit.

i would like for my doors to lock when i start the engine. Thats cool. my vw locked at 15 mph. I liked that. Maybe my Viper system will do something like that when it's installed. COOL!

Do you have an aftermarket alarm? Or did you.....
All new aftermarket alarms do this.

As do most newer cars. However, the Fit isnt one of them.
I wonder if its a factory reflash? I know when I worked at Dodge/Jeep I could use the "StarScan" and enable or disable the auto locking feature.
