why does my fit do these things and other fits dont?
Does yours give warnings (horn beeps) if you hit or lean against the car?
ok i got solutions for you kind of.
1: your remote making it honk. i have had 96-00 civics before and this was reprogramable on the remote. i think i had to hold panic and lock for 5 seconds or something like that. my fit remote does not make it honk unless i hit the lock button twice.
2:doors locking is probably something that can be changed too. on the newer civics there is a lot of options like this that involve these goofy ignition codes like turn on for 3 seconds then off for 2 seconds then on for 6 seconds...
3: no daytime running lights for me either so... i think you are safe on that one.
the first twon can probably be fixed with instructions in the manual or stopping by the service dept, they can probably show you how to toggle your options.

well, it doesnt go off very easily. when it is engaged and i push the car at the top window pillar back and fourth, it doesnt go off until about the third push
Wow, thats one thing I didn't know. Whats the reasoning behind it? Less daylight hours up that far north? Government guidelines?
This is a bit off topic, but my Fit re-locks itself after I use the key FOB to unlock it after about 30 seconds if I didn't open a door. I assume this is standard on Fit's with the factory alarm.
I didnt think an optional alarm was offered on the Sports as it already has an anti theft system.
I use to have the Karr alarm system on the 07, installed by the dealer for $300. It does the same thing, but instead of locking when e-brake, it'll lock the door when I turn the key. That alarm system was very sensitive, it use to go off if someone yells right next to my fit.
that's be cool if you could.
you should definitely try it.
i would love to yell and set my alarm off haha
