Can "Alarm Activated" Honk be deactivated?

I don't really like that my Fit honks when I've activated the alarm. I'd rather it just flash its lights quietly. If I really want to check the alarm I can look inside for the flashing red light right?

Anyone know if you can deactivate that (without deactivating the horn in general) ?

Alarm

Strange, my 2007 sets the alarm and flashes the lights when I click once. If I click twice, then the horn beeps a confirmation. When I disarm, one click turns the alarm off and then flashes the lights.

^ Agreed.

Pressing the lock button locks the doors and arms the alarm. Pressing it a 2nd time is only an audible way of knowing that your Fit is locked if you did not hear the locks. Another way to lock the car and arm the system quietly is just simply putting the key in the door cylinder and locking the car the old fashioned way. Just do not lock the car with the interior lock switches or else the alarm will not arm itself.

Yeah, stop pushing the button 2 x!! Either you have short term memory loss and need to stop driving altogether, or you are a Mac user and can't stop double-clicking.

Just one click locks all the doors. Two clicks is needed to UNlock all the doors, but one click opens the driver's door.

lol

press one time

alarm armed.

................i think that feature there for pressing it twice is for when you are at a distance and want to check that your doors are closed, if the car doesn't honk then the car isn't locked, doors aren't closed, alarm not activated

Well that was easy!

I thought it was one click locks all doors but 2 clicks is needed to set the alarm! I must have read the manual wrong!

I got the one click to open Driver door, 2 clicks to open all the doors bit correct though :P

I think the older style keyless entry systems required more than one click for arming alarms. My dads 00 chevy van requires 2 clicks.

Also good for finding your car in a crowded parking lot.
